A poem for my first love who happens to be with me for more than eleven years. We grew up together, building our dreams, only to end in a painful way. Hoping someday that when we crossed again each other's path we would instead cherish those wonderful memories we were together.

I can't explain what I'm feeling inside.
I thought I will not survive
The pain, the sorrows I cannot hide
Why do you have to leave my side?

Oh Heavens when will you hear my cry
How many times do I try
To forget him as times goes by
But still I cannot forget the painful goodbye.

I told myself there will come a time
Where I would just laugh everything on my mind
I really want to leave things behind
Help me God I dont want to be left behind.

There's something I cannot hide
With every little smile
I know I've run a mile
Just to forget you for awhile.

Looking forward to each new day
With much brighter and better day
No more tears along the way
Whatever comes my way.

I never thought to loose someone like you
You're so special and it makes me blue
Just thinking I've already lose you
There's nothing compares to you.

Nevertheless life has to go on
I have to move on
Even if the heartache is like on and on
There's nothing anyway to hold on.

There will always be that one person we can never forget. Though they never give a moment's thought to us.

Well written and expressed. Gave it an "I Like It" vote.

Happy traila,

Ed Bradley.
