Just another poem, read and tell me what you think

I'm not perfect, nor will I ever claim to be.

I'm not the woman you all think me to be.

I got lost, and I screwed up.

Went down a path I wish I never seen.

The road was long and dark, I feared I'd never make it out.

Alone and scared, my demons asked to play.

Help me find a way to find hope for another day.

Steering me from the right, joining me for the wrong.

Making me believe I never deserved much of anything good.

After all my life had been nothing but hell.

So full of abuse && neglect.

No joy, no love, nothing but hate.

Memories of the past would always flood through, zipping through the mind reminding me of the suffering I had endured, the suffering I had caused.

The lost of my loved ones, the words last said.

The touch of his hand , to the pain he left within.

The many nights he fell asleep, with a bottle In his hand; showing that his love will never shine,

No more daddy to keep the demons away,

No more family to show me I'm not alone.

The liquor lost it's affect,

I felt nothing while I drank it back.

Looking for a new release I found comfort In a powder of white.

Line after line, gram after gram,

The cravings became more, the

Drama I faced, the words people said all of them drove me

Closer to this.

I just wanted to be left alone,

The words to stop , the people to leave.

All they ever did was judge me for the shit I did.

Who cares if I suffered, who cares if I cried.

The bitch deserves all this hate.

But in my moment of weakness, my last string attached

They let me go and the sun began to shine.

I saw hope, I saw life.

The snow was left to dry and I chose walk away.

Demons quieted down and I began to leave,

The road wasn't so dark, after I took that turn,

Not once have I looked back,

Not once did I ask for just a little more.

I never needed it, just needed out.
