“This can’t be true. She was just here talking happily to me just a couple minutes ago! How come no one remembers her…?”

I get off the bus as I look around. Today, my classmates and I get to go to an art museum. “I’m so excited!” My friend Andrea says while she slowly turns around to face me with her emerald eyes, acting like she always does. Her strawberry blonde hair fell down to her shoulders as she tilted her head. I nodded in agreement. We quickly entered and I was dumbfounded by the sight in front of me. My eyes slowly widen in amazement. It’s beautiful. Suddenly, I hear a faint whisper behind me. I turned around to see a little girl crying. I quickly turned around to Andrea, “Hey, I see this girl.” I say being concerned, “I think she has lost her parents”, “What girl...?” Andrea says. Her expression that I once knew quickly turned distorted, her eyes slowly squinted, acting like I was crazy.

Am I just imaging things? I tried to forget it, but the memory was still lingering, like it was following me. After a while, we were allowed to look around in pairs, I paired with Andrea. ”Hey Andrea, I just need to go to the toilet very quick!” I say impatiently. “Alright, alright.” Andrea says while sighing. I picked up my pace and forcefully opened the door to reveal something I wish I could erase from my memory;A

A dead body nailed to the wall.

I staggered backwards and let out a high-pitch scream. It was my classmate Taylor. Her body was coloured in with blood from her chest to all down to her legs, her motionless eyes pierced through mine. There was a glistening object that impaled her chest. Oh my god…I quickly ran away from the scene to find someone I know. Ah! The teacher!, “M-Mrs Stone” I say while stuttering, “T-Taylor is, Taylor is-“ I get cut off, “Who is Taylor?” They reply with the same expression Andrea had, “Are you sure you’re not confused with someone else?” My heart sank with fear, I run as fast as I can to find Andrea. Where is she?! If I found her, she would know her….Right? I asked a classmate if they have seen her, “Who is she?” No…This isn’t happening! Please no… I quickly found Andrea but I was too late. Her lifeless body was on the ground, sleeping peacefully. I fell to the ground. It was then that I came to realise why no one knew them when they “died”, they never existed in the first place.
