My eyes have seen more than I have touched,

My nose has smelld more than I have tasted,

My heart dreams of more than my soul can carry.

Look at the sky. . . You'll never go up there,

Look at the outside, You'll never breathe that air,

Reach out your hand. . . You'll never touch another,

Scream. . . It's a song. . . Just like the others.

No one can see the way you scream,

They don't get what you want away,

They hear you sing night and day,

Let the caged bird sing.

You'r voice is loud, yes, some look,

In the end they all look away,

You know today's not your last day,

So scream, it'll be a song. . . Just like the others.

Metal bars that I can not see,

Food an water is what you give to me,

I'm in the cage. . . I've never been out,

My cage, "home" and I'll neer get out.
