Austin pushed his books aside, but they ended up falling off his bed. He grabbed my waist to pull me in for a kiss. I pushed him back; I’m not ready. He looked at me worriedly and confused.

“I can’t...” I said pausing.

“I understand” He said agreeing. Austin picked up his books from the floor. I like Austin, but only as a friend. If we take our relationship to the next level, it’s just going to be awkward for me.

“Jen, do you like me?” Austin questioned. How do I answer a question like that? If I say no, it will hurt his feelings. If I say yes, it will make he think I want to be with him.

“I like you, as a friend” I told him. He grinned then apologized for trying to kiss me. I opened up my world history book and flipped through some pages to write down some notes. In the corner of my eyes, I could see Austin’s eyes directly at my chest. I quickly put on a jacket, but he still kept looking.

“I better go, it’s getting late” I said as I looked at my Hello Kitty watch.

“It’s only 6:30” He said.

“I know, but my mom wants me home early” I said making an excuse.

I don’t know what’s gotten into him, he’s never looked at me this way before. That night, I got ten text messages from him saying that he wants to talk. What does that mean? What kind of “talk”? I was getting worried; i’m worried that our friendship is going to crumble. The next day, Austin had walked me to and from school. As we sat on his bed, he snatched my books from my hands and laid them aside. He started crawling forward and I quickly moved back. As I reached the front of his bed, I knew that something was wrong about this. He pulled my legs forward and tried to take off my skirt. I slapped him, but it didn’t slow him down. I tried moving his hands off my skirt, but he reached in his pocket and grabbed some handcuffs. Austin handcuffed me to his bed; now I am screwed! As he removed my skirt, he grabbed some scissors and cut my shirt in half. I was exposed and he was happy. He slowly moved his hands across my body and whispered in my ear, Je t'aime. The only thing i could think of was to...scream. I screamed so loud, that his mom came rushing through the door. She was in shock. Austin’s mom unhandcuffed me and gave me some fresh clothes.

“Jen, please forgive me” Austin said while frowning.

“I don’t know what to say Austin. This is not who you are, not the Austin I used to know” I said sadly. I packed up my things and left his room.
