Star Quarterback Able Peats had overcome hardships at an very early age. From his father leaving, to being on the verge of becoming homeless, Able has managed to overcome every obstacle thrown his way. When he got the opportunity to play high school football for one of country's most prestigious boarding schools on a full ride scholarship, he was sure this would be his ticket to get he and his mother out of poverty for good. Able has managed to skirt his way through high school by being a football star, but when his beloved Coach who's also happens to be the director of the school unexpectedly dies his senior year, everything changes. With new management now running the school, Able realizes that if he wants to graduate and be eligible for recruitment, he's going to have to work for it. Half-Assed Backwards is a story about fighting for a dream, and learning that there's no easy path to success.
