how things start for you

I was married for a few years before i had to start dealing with a lot of doctors and hospitals. I am not one to want anything to do with this type of thing. I am flat out chicken when it comes to needles and knives even if they are not coming at me.
round 1
It was a good round for me. Even though I am chicken this produced me a son that I am very proud of. I dont know to this day how I did this because I do not take to doctors. But I gave birth to a beautiful little boy when the time came and I didnt hurt anyone.
round 2
It was time for my husband to start with the rest of his life things that would take a lot out of me and teach me a lot of things I didnt know I could do.first he had to have a double hearnia surgery. Not too bad huh? I know he was scared because the nurse could not get information from him. So now I start picking up the pieces and giving information.  Everything was fine though for the next six weeks and time for him to go back to work. That did it right there. He did not get out of bed one morning so I went to see what was wrong. Mistake!  The next year of my life was scary and very busy. He went to the doctor lying in the back of a station wagon I was driving because he could no longer stand up. I would go in the office and wait for them to tell me they were ready for him and then go back out to the car and try to help him in.
round 3
Tests and more tests.Several weeks in the hospital with me working and raising a small child and trying to deal with this. As the tests began to reveal a very serious problem I am getting more scared. Now we have to go get blood taken so they will have this for the surgery. This calls for 4 trips. They have now decided he has to go to a major hospital for the surgery so that means extra long drives and time spent there.
round 4
This is very hard now. Somebody goofed and gave him the wrong medication. They figured it out thank God. The medication they gave him would have caused him to bleed to death. So now I cant take him home because any little scratch will cause me a real big problem
round 5
We start all over again/. I think by this time he was willing to just lay on his back for the rest of his life.  He was scared. But things were rescheduled and we went back to try again. This time it was a little more succesful and a lot of pain for him to go through. They give you medication that is addictive for the pain in the beginning and then you have to wean off of that.
round 6
The doctors told me it would take a year for all of this to be over and it came very close to being just that. The hardest part then was Christmas because Iwas the only one working so Christmas was a little skimpy but a whole lot happier.
