The foghorn was haunting
As her eerie sound disappeared in to mist
Jack was standing next to me
I could see the sadness in his eyes
“Well Jack, this is it!” I said to him
“This is what?” He yelled back at me
“Omg! You are so callous!”
“I really though we were partners in crime now?”
I said replying to his yell
“Lets get one thing totally clear
Before you make anymore assumptions.”
He angrily replied… “I have no partners,
Is that quite clear?” he asked me
“Oh! Well suit yourself, you don’t scare me”
I snapped at him.
“ha-ha! we will see about that” he chuckled
With a demonic look in his eye
Sending a shiver down my spine.
The swell at sea was becoming vast
The sky lit up as bolts of lightening
Flashed across the heavens
It was scary, the wind so cold.
“I am going to our cabin Jack, are you coming?’
I asked him.
He just stood there staring into the far
A sneer on his wicked face
Not answering me.
I turned and walked away
Left him standing there
Admiring his razor sharp knife
As it reflected its sharpness
with each bolt of lighting.
I was rudely awakened by a loud knock
On our cabin door
Jack didn’t stir
Just a smile of contentment on his lips
As he slept on
“Have you seen this young lady?”
A crew member asked me
Presenting her photo to me.
She was young, tasteful and beautiful
Long locked light brown hair
Green eyes that of a cat
A body of a cover girl
Perfect in every way.
“No, sorry!” I replied, adding
“I turned in early.”
“And your friend, might he have seen her
by any chance?”
“I wouldn’t think so sir,
We came to the cabin together.”
“Thank you kindly, if you should see her
Please inform us immediately.” He replied
Then turned and walked away.
“Oh! No what have you done Jack?”
I asked him.
“Nothing, I have done nothing or
Did I do something I am not aware of?’
He sneered back at me.
That’s when I knew…
Another victim bites the dust!
