So... just recently, in my history class, i was given a project. We had to make a poster on one of the famous people in the jazz era (the roaring 20's)  provided for us on a list. the list had people from luise armstrong to duke ellington, and of course, as he called out names to choose, everyone went for those two, the two most popular. now i choose to do one on someone not well know, nell i didnt know him either, so i picked the one with the coolest name, Bix Beiderbecke.

little did i know he happened to be the only white person on the whole list, and being that i am literally one of two white people in the class, that started people off on me for being a racist. Then of course through all the fighting i started to hate my chioce, that is until i stopped and listened to his song "Clarinet Marmamlade" And it instantly put a smile on my face. now to tell you the truth i am happy about my choice cause he happened to be the first important white jazz performer of his era and that made him different, and i like different.

well, the main thought i had in mind to write this is about how something so little as a choice of a jazz performer can start off fights, really people? now i just think people are purposfully trying to make my schoola shitty place.  But hey, i gained the knowledge of a great musicion who can really kick ass on the trumpet and no matter what, im glad i chose Bix
