I look back at a time when all you could see was the sun setting bright and early

The waves coming fourth, slowly but yet they would be stormy;

Of all the loves and friends in life they couldn't see any signs

For being young is forever and you don't see much at all when one is boldly blind

You walk through the day and trigger all of your emotions, waiting on hope or failure

You never wanna quit, just wanna go through life's ever daring winds a sailor;

But that sun setting in the morning I spoke of now fades to black

The storms been brewing for sometime, when we weren't looking and there's no turning back

For like lighting splitting trees, the growth of friendship has split

People have become yet more of who they are, or yet what is already inside that exists;

You see now in different eyes, all that surrounds us is no longer the same

For everything you wished as a kid, for all you wanted to be has now taken like a snakes skin and that is change

So sometime in the future a fellow and lady will see again, and see the scars, but find Beauty in the struggle

Maybe one can pick another up, remembering a pain they had once felt as they sunk beneath the ruble
