My Father always said that it was the truth he loved me
And that he would be proud of anything I do.
That if I made mistakes he would understand.
And if I hurt him he would forgive me,
And that if I became even half the man I could be, he would be proud.
Now I am a soldier fighting for my country,
Now I am but a tormented soul in Flanders fields.
Are you proud of me father?
