Is it better to lie in comfort than to be alone in harsh truth?

Needless of others,

I turn away,

What business do we have of each other,

But to feel a little less lonely?

I hide away,

Alone in my keep,

Thinking,

Analysing,

Have I done wrong,

In abandoning others?

But I don't really need them,

Or do I?

Now I only wonder,

Locked in social emptiness,

Questioning,

Should I have rotted alone,

Or at least lied to myself,

That we,

Will rot,

Together?
