Burt was a funny old man,
A tamp with dirt for a tan.
He had dirty old jeans and a baggy old coat,
He'd chunter and mumble with a frog in his throat.
Smoking his role ups from butts that he'd found,
Then coughing and spluttering making a terrible sound.
He'd walk all day long asking for mony,
So he could buy food to fill his tummy.
People would laugh and calling him a name,
Sometimes he would scurry around in shame.
Sometimes he stand fast,
And explain his past..
But no one listen to what he had to say,
With all of his dignity striped away.
