Silence fills the box
That is my room
Quietly lying on my bed
Staring out into space
Images from yesterday
Play in my head
Over and over
Reopening old scars
Scars that never seem to heal
And scars that remind me
Times rather forgotten

Anguish I feel inside
A war with no end
Every bad memory remembered
Another scar reopened
Again the pain returns
Reliving the moments
Blood runs cold with fear
Scars remind me
Of times rather forgotten

No matter what abuse
I put my mind through
I still remember
But wish it was just a nightmare
And than I would wake up
And all would be fine
As long as scars remain visible
It'll still remined me
Of times rather forgotten
