For almost a year now, I've been doing alot of dating and had some good dates, but many were not that great. This poem is all truth about the feelings of being rejected by the women that I've met and who left me feeling rejected after a date for reasons unknown to me.

"Barely Breathing"

By Christian Taylor

Not much to examine,

Can tell from your eyes,

Only feel the heartache,

As you seem distracted,

Believed in your lies,

How I'm such a fool,

Couldn't of seen or believed it was coming,

Waiting for another day,

For which will never come,

Does it make you happy to break hearts?

----

Left me broken and barely breathing,

How could you be so cold,

As the sounds of winter,

Without giving me one chance,

To show you the person I am?

Did you ever felt the same,

As I did?

Could stand here waiting forever,

Forever will never come,

Don't suppose you saw others,

Of faces with no names,

What do they have that I don't?

----

Take my breath away,

Only to throw it back in despair,

Am I such a mistake?

For you to feel love?

Turns into a disaster,

For still pursuing what's impossible,

But I'm thinking it over anyway,

I know what the truth is,

Seen it all too clear.
