Total darkness surrounds me;

As sickening feeling of fear overcomes me.

A light appears in the distance; blinding yet hypnotic.

Curiosity defeats my mind in state of chaotic.

Cautiously I’m approaching,

Without doubts or clear thinking,

Closer I come to the light,

Feeling of numbness consumes me by this light.

Suddenly the light intensified,

Eyes wide shut and lying on the ground petrified.

A sudden metallic bang causes my eyes to open,

Back was the darkness as if my eyes weren’t open.

A light brighten the room revealing a room; a room of mirrors.

Slowly I rose to my feet; looking at the surrounding of mirrors.

My reflection of the dozens of mirrors left nothing,

But a clear image of me; all of me that was everything.

Sounds of whispers could be heard echoing,

Franticly looking around to find nothing.

Voices became louder as fear sets in.

Meanwhile, wondering where I was and what was I in?

Approached one of the mirrors watching my reflection,

Come closer till I touch the mirror and both were in connection.

Cracked went the mirror; startled took a step back.

Mirror continued to crack as I continued to step back.

Suddenly, the sounds of cracking filled the room as another started to crack.

One by one each mirror began to crack.

First mirror that cracked; shattered to a pile of jagged broken glass as it fell to the ground.

Suddenly, realization kicked in as I stared at the ground.

Depressed mind leaves the mind in pieces.

  Dreams are left in pieces.

Suddenly, all the mirrors shattered at once learning the truth too late.

Now knowing what is my fate.

Jagged edges of broken glass fall towards me;

As I fall lying on the ground anticipating the end of me.
