"Heaven"

A whisper I may hear,

In the cool breee.

Staring out at the horizon,

On the highest bluff in the county.

Silence surrounds me,

Broken only by the whistling breeze.

A soul at peace by the tranquility,

And the sights of God's beauty.

Closed my eyes as I took a deep breath,

Picturing myself on air.

Thoughts of life run in my mind,

All the accomplishments, failures, and what-ifs.

What does God have planned for me?

What awaits for me for the next day?

A prayer I begin to pray;

Blessing this life I've had and finding my faith.

Trust and faith is in your hands now.

Whispered an 'amen',

As I felt the warmth of the Lord's spirit,

Circling around me.

Opened my eyes and looked up,

To see darkness fall over the landscape,

To reveal a starry canvas high above me.

A beautiful night awaits.
