"Perfect"

Don't tell me how life should be,
Look how I smile,
Don't you see?
Nothing looks perfect as it may seem,
I don't ask questions,
Nor do I make the rules.
Try to go with the flow,
But always ended up getting hurt in the end.
Your assumptions more important,
Than knowing the real that is me.
Emptiness of the soul is how I feel,
No tears; just forever numb.
Why is it easy for them,
And not for me?
Imperfections that obvious to you?
Why not look passed it?
Can't you see the honesty in my eyes?
Am I that pathetic in your eyes?
Don't walk away, don't walk away,
Promise I am not the rest.
