"War and Peace"

A world in pieces,

Violence takes hold,

Peace seems fleeting,

Why do we cry terror?

Versus bring peace to those?

Why do we call for revenge,

When we should call for love and understanding?

Innocent lives lost for what; to prove a point?

Why must children cry in fear in the night,

When innocence shouldn't be lost?

Why must blood and tears be shed,

When unity and compassion speaks volumes?

Answers are not solved through death;

Answers are solved with open-minds and peace.

A praying millions wish a peaceful world.

Will the prayers be answered;

In the heat of violence and death?
