We Only Shared a Smile

The moment erupted into molecules

I felt his touch, overpowering yet tender

His hungry eyes piercing the core of my deepest thoughts

Exposing my secret desires

Leaving me naked on the streets of passion

Powerless, compliant, the forbidding moment drew me, magnetically, into it's sensuous web

My mind dancing on the edge of disaster

Yearning to discover the novel danger

To attain the unattainable

To experience the reality

The sky exploded into thousands of falling stars

Covering me

Warming me

Dulling my cries

And then expelling me from it's sanctuary

For it was only a moment

And we only shared a smile
