I wrote this as a response to a meeting that was called recently at my place of work.

Your official demeanour an attempt at misdirection

I see you turning, you doctor of spin

A thinly veiled agenda, a crude deception

Trying to hide the predicament you're in

I sit in quiet contemplation, listening

Staring you down, boring into your black heart

I can see your forehead glistening

Your balloon of lies, burst by my dart

Hypocrite! Charlatan! Pathetic corporate magician

I feign ignorance as you perform the illusion

Boisterously applauding; you amateur politician

Lobbying your cause, sowing seeds of confusion

I am the sole perceiver of your persuasive ineptitude

You convinced the witless, of this you’re proud?

I see your inward smirking, your empty attitude

Back to your audience, this blinded crowd

The time has come to expose your story

I'll pull back the curtain, see my elation

As I watch your world burn; a blaze without glory

Now please excuse me as I tender my resignation
