Sometimes because you are from a certain place, people misjudge you, so in a funny way, I was just saying, "boo, no voodoo."

Just Because I’m From The Islands That Don’t Mean I Practice

Voodoo,

So Don’t Be Afraid Because I’m Not Gonna Put A Root On You.

Don’t Worry, I’m Not Gonna Put My Blood In Your Tea,

Because My Looks Already Have You Falling In Love With Me.

To Keep You In My Life, I'm Not Gonna Write Your Name On A

Special Piece Of Paper,

Because If You Ever Find Out That I’m Working Voodoo On

You, You’ll Eventually End Up Leaving Me Later.

So In Purse, You Won’t Find Dust Or A Demonic Potion,

But I Do Get Ashy, So You May See A Bottle Of Lotion.

In My Closet, You Won’t Find Lit Candles Surrounded By Bones,

But You Might Find Some Jackets And Maybe A Few Old Cell

Phones.

By My Doors You Won’t See Lines Drawn With A Special Salt, Sugar Or Flour.

Some People Do Voodoo Because To Them It’s Like Having

Power.

Baby Listen, I’m Not Gonna Give You A Mixture With Liquor, That’s Gonna Turn You Into A Monkey If You Get Drunk.

Yes, You Know I’m From The Islands But I Don’t Engage In

Voodoo, So Stop Believing That Junk.
