Recognizing the real meaning of love is blind.

If somehow you were unable to see,

How would you identify me?

And if you were unable to hear me yell your name out loud

Would you still be able to identify me in a crowd

Would you recognize…

the curve of my thighs

If I placed your head upon my chest

Could you distinguish the unique firmness of my breast?

Would my perfume

Be the most familiar scent in the room

If you were to go blind

You would still be mine

If you could no longer hear

I wouldn’t disappear

I’d be your eyes and ears

I’d comfort you and wash away your tears

I’d never leave your side

Because deep within you is where my love and emotions reside

Would you do the same if I were to go deaf and blind?

Would you turn away and make me lose my mind

Or would pity and sympathy make you be kind

Would I still be the one you desire

Would my touch still set your soul on fire?

Love is more than visual

Love is deeper than physical

Love is trusting the fear of the unknown

And to experience it you must step out of your comfort zone

To love someone you must understand pain is guaranteed

Finding your way thru the pain is the only way love can succeed

To know that love is without sight

Is knowing that you got it right.
