This poem is just something I came up with, It has to do with the innocence of childhood, and how it is so fragile, but it shines through more than the sun;

This poem is Dedicated to Sammie Daniels
A child's heart at 17

A melody plays through the chilling wind
A collage of what's been;
Stinging my heart, like the snow
Would it be better if I didn't know

When I saw you an innocent child
The sun came when you smiled;

You were a child, insecure, unsure
But precious futures allure;
The race in time, just to fall behind
These flashbacks unwind;
Things that will always bind;
This precious bond,
Will never abscond,
And will always begin with you

Your hand trembling in the cold
Your words slurred and soled;
When I touched your hand, time unwound
My future was found;

In an instant I saw heaven's light
The clouds departed rain;

You were young, I was in love
When I heard a saddened dove;
Running desperate to reach you
There's nothing I'd undo;
Things that will always bind;
What we find;
These bonds will never fade
And will always begin with you
