The green bodies,

looming over still water,

covered in moss, trees and lichen

inch towards the bright blue sky.

Oh what untouched secrets

lie within their stony skin.

What whispers do they share,

what is buried deep within

their malevolent forms

of rising and falling earth.

For what is nature if it is not worth

a slice of unease in the lush, green trees.

These giants, these phallus',

these glorious monuments of ancient times,

of memories unforgotten,

of curving, evolving rhymes.

Never quite finished,

until the peaks reach the stars.
