looking for the signs
like a blind man in the street
but I have no helper monkey
and can barely move my feet

barelling down the highway;
all this traffic moves in patterns
i have earned mad skills of dodging
- the instinctual combatant

the makes and models change,
the speed and path remain the same
as I stumble to the grass
i laugh and cross the street again

a glutton for something,
a selfish, self-serving masochist
while you torture me with destruction
i revel in pulling every mask off this

wrap yourself around me
place your palms upon my chest
and push me back into the traffic
so I no longer have to guess
