I’m on the Dark Side of the Moon

And it’s so full of gloom

They said it’d be dreamy,

But it just makes me weary

How I long for home

To see my family,

But I’m stuck in a dome

On the Dark Side of the Moon

The air is stale

How I miss the earth

This dome is a jail

The rocket’s gone -

And fuel too

I wish I could live

Anew

I guess this place is fine

But the earth, it’s so blue.

I realize I’m stuck

And it has me awestruck

My hopes are diminishing

And the food, dwindling

The earth is so surreal

Like a marble,

That I wish I could feel

The moon is cold

And I grow old,

Watching the earth sail by

There is no sky

On this rock

Nothing to make me gawk,

I’m trapped on the moon

And I won’t be seeing you soon.
