Terrible times sometimes bring people together. I don't know how to explain it for sure, but as I watched her stop her vehicle, and get out, I couldn't help but admire her. She stood so proud. Her shoulders in fine form. Her proud and lovely features, shining in the afternoon sun.

She looked sad. Took me a few seconds to realize what had transpired. A dog had run in front of her car, and she'd hit it. The dog was bleeding from the hind end, and walking tenderly. I told her the dog belonged at the house 2 doors down, and she'd better let the owners know.
She looked at me with tears in her eyes, and said"it's my dog, or my husbands".

I asked her to wait a second, and ran to the trampoline in my yard to get a step so the dog could climb in to her SUV itself. I told her to get the dog to a vet, and turned away, back to my home, my family.

I seldom saw them outdoors. When I did it was from afar.she never came outside. He played in a band and worked full time. Our neighbours called them vampires because they never were outside

A plan not executed well
greeting after what seems hell.
Fleeting, through the evening crush
Pausing, meeting, what a rush.

Bonding, trusting far to much
for someone I have yet to touch
A fleeting glance, uneven voice
as if we even had a choice.

Colliding souls, so fast it hurt

Innocence thrown in the dirt
a secret bond so deep and dark
A long park walk without a park

A taste so pure
So sweet and true.
A touch, a glance, a smile.
Who knew.
