So close, yet so far a part

We're both in the same room.

But we might as well be two worlds a part.

I hear you're voice and you're laugh.

I smile. Hoping that whoever is making you laugh cares about you.

I hope they see the brightness in you're eyes when you smile.

You're walking with you're friends.

I'm walking with mine.

I want to grab you're hand and walk with you.

I want to make you smile.

I want to make you laugh.

Wanting for us to hold each other.

I want to make you the happiest person alive.

I want for us to smile and to laugh together.

I want to scream to the world that I love you.

But sadly you're walking away with you're friends.

Not even glancing my way.

I lower my head and sigh, then go right back to smiling and laughing.

Even though inside I'm crying.

Again I hear you're laugh.

I galance back at you and see you're smile.

I smile sadly.

I probably will never tell you my true feelings.

You're my friend but sadly you're also more then that.

And you don't even realize it.

You're my friend but you're also the man that has my heart in the palm of you're hand.

Hopefully I'll get it back from you before you even realize you have it.

But for now keep my heart.

Keep it in the palm of you're hand.

Soon you'll find a girl that you love and I hope she excepts you're heart,

and I'll finally get my damaged heart back from you.

Until then, just keep smiling and laughing.

I'll keep my true feelings to myself and be thankful that you're happy.

And yet through all of this I still have one selfish question.

Why can't one of your smlies be for me?
