You Don't See

In your eyes I'm worthless.
You see me as a waste of time.
Your eyes skip right over my sadness,
And the pain I feel.
You take everything out on me,
And expect me to cower to your every word,
And then bounce back into routine.

Because of you and choices you've made,
I am miserable,
But you don't see that.

When I try reach out and explain my feelings,
You cut them down and make my worries pointless.
I could be so much worse,
I could be a slut, a whore, or even a druggy.
You don't see the good in me,
And wont until it's gone.

I try hard not to dissappoint you.
I pass up everything I want,
To make you happy,
But you don't see.
In all I do,
Your in the back of my mind.

At times you keep me going,
But for what?
To be shot down by one mistake.

You throw my mishaps in my face,
And expect me to get better,
But you make me worse.

So years from now,
When you asked what happend to change me,
All I will say is,
You didn't see.
