Poem by: cmccoy
The floor made of black checkered glass
shows a reflection of happiness passed.
My olive green eyes cry brilliant sapphire-
To be put out of my misery, my only desire.
These tears made of jewels run down my face.
They leave a trail of blood in their place.
So heavy are they, their impression is lasting.
It will forever be my scar of your love passing.
I clutch my heart which lies deep beneath-
My burgundy corset laced with deceit.
My jet black hair no longer tied up nice.
My once cherry lips now the color of ice.
The moon beams shimmer down by dusk
through the onyx curtains stained with lust.
My every fiber aches, vibrates for you-
My intentions, my soul the color of true.
The echoes and cries ring in my ears.
I can taste my pain settling in my fears.
Your marble tinged casket is all in my view-
I sit down, a razor in hand, and wait for you.
