You carried me for nine months

only to throw me away today?

If I get out of this and find you

someday then what will you say?

What if I am found by an angel

who takes me in and loves me?

Don’t you think they’ll look for you

and ask you ‘why’ for me?

I’m only a victim of your circumstance.

I’m only about five pounds or less.

Please turn around and come back!

Don’t leave me here in this mess!

You can hear my cries echo off

the bathroom walls as you run.

I’m crying for you because I need

You even after all you’ve just done.

*NOTE: If you or someone you know is pregnant and even thinks you may not want the responsibility, do the responsible thing. Turn your baby over to the proper authorities at a hospital or fire station or police station.

*800 children were abandoned in trash bins last year alone in just Texas. Multiply that by the number of states and it’s a horrible number. (information found in one study done at a university in Texas)
