Why did you leave me here by myself?!

I’m blinded by your absence!

I’m tortured by your memory!

At my own reflection, I whence!

This is all my fault!

I’ll never stop missing you!

How stupid was I ?!

I should have listened to you!

My tears fall now on

an old photo of us.

My soul is screaming-

I’ve had enough!

Memories from that night

are fresh in my mind.

I had to leave you alone

so that help I could find!

I let you die on that pavement:

Cold, dark and alone.

When I returned my buzz had gone.

I remember hearing your last moan.

I held your head cradled in my arms,

rocking us back and forth.

I was screaming, crying uncontrollably!

I just knew you couldn't hold on anymore.

I was driving that fateful night.

I drank all that beer.

If only I had listened to you,

then you might still be here.
