When you hear about a hooker on the street

Who used drugs, lied and was a thief

You don’t feel for her or think she can do better

But she is a person and she’ll be that forever.

When you hear that same hooker was killed

You just imagine that it must’ve been God’s will.

“Society is better off, one less sub-human off my block.”

What if a mile in her shoes, you had to walk?

That hooker was someone’s daughter

Someone’s mother, sister and she probably grew up with a father.

The news that she was no longer alive

Probably killed someone deep inside.

Some cases are still unsolved

Because some detective refused to resolve.

He thought he had bigger cases to close

But he wasn’t thinking of her family, yeah, she had one of those.
