Why do we complicate things?
Why do we talk in code?
Why do we act like something we're not?
Why do we always make the prince a toad?

Why can't we just say what we mean?
Why do wwe make others read between the lines?
Why do we change how we look to get someone else to look?
Why do we act like a fool just to be seen?

Why can't I be myself around you?
Why do I stumble like a fool?
Why can't I stop smiling when you are near me?
Why do I do the crazy things that I do?

Because you have caputured my heart
And are now the center ofmy thoughts. (Just ask Erin)
Because you give me butterflies
And there is more to say, but I don't know where to start.

Why do I do all the stupid things I do?
Simply put, because I love you.
