The firebrain walking like a pistol ready to shoot
Those in the way of the target.
Living and breathing like a spool of thread unwinding.
Ghostly like the apparition in the darkness that swirls and tastes life
Before fading into nonchalance from Paradise
The firebrain waking into brilliant creation
And warping bent like a spoon.
Exploding into the entombment of form
And void it rapturously travels on into the reality.
Variously dancing its way on the grave of its enemy,
Headless man.
The firebrain wasting away now,
Pale and sickly forming blood and mucous.
And vomit. Sick vomit. The people sick vomit.
Sticky grow its fingers,
Its hold on life it hates growing weaker as well as
Time like sand through its newfingers sift and stick while mudballs clump.
And fall
Laughing, headless man,
Ridicules, ridiculous longfingers point shaking,
So old, as time and the universe and our cycle,
His rheumy eyes barely seen in his
Wooden chest, his open library.
The firebrain smiling
cuts.
