This is about...something I don't think I'll tell.
Figure it out.

This light—
Burns through the darkness,
And I follow.

When time shifts back,
My mind wilts at the strength of
This light,
So glorious, so regal and open,
Like the wind roaring over,
The great gleaming snow caps of the highest mountains.

Enraptured by this light…
So far distant from its source.
I followed where it ran in the shadow,
Its brilliant colored trail engraved
In the stone, in the earth, in the innermost soul
Of humankind.

So far distant from its source,
I was,
 I am,
I will be.

It moved forward now.
My fractured legs, my yearning arms,
My tortured eyes, my sighing spirit,
—Reach! for the will to follow.
—Reach! for the strength of gods.

It moved forward,
And left me spinning in circles.
