Just a little piece I'm working on, I recently went through an unbelievably painful breakup. and a month later I still find myself crying at the most random of moments. This is for the people who
need to know they're not alone. and someone understands. Enjoy

The worst part is seeing him

In the songs on the radio

At your favorite ice cream shop in the chocolate vanilla twist on a cone

In the caramel iced coffee you used to claim not to want just so he could have it

Or in the word NAVY

Like his future

Or the tux you begged him to buy for prom so you guys wouldn’t look like you're getting married and he responded with “there's nothing wrong with that.”

It’s smelling his scent in the strangest of places

You know the one that catches your attention like the snap of a finger or that  one sam smith song

It's the strained silence between the two of you passing in the hall

And books

Just books. Because they remind you of the library that you first hung out with him at

It's the inability to look at his friends

or go to the damned ceramics room where you had your first kiss.

You cant even look at a football because that's his thing.

And you realize,

That you HATE football.

But you loved him

So you loved football.

Until he stopped loving you

And you stopped loving football.

And its when your friends ask you what happened

When they've already heard it from five other people

It's the bubble baths with bath bombs because he bought you your first one.

It's his sweatshirts all over your house, and you don't want to touch them so your house stays a mess

But still,

The worst part is knowing you loved him more than he ever loved you.
