Sanctioned Curtain

Fluttering candles sway
Flames shadow light stands
their hands the other half of night
picked by spotlights
which are not the stars
but a metal skin
for who you are

Through the velvet pool
Deep violet rippling where a flower floats
in a Gothic hall
pressed between her breasts
its thorn
pale and trembling
where her dress is torn

Masked by fire and mesmerised
his witches fire is drawn to the palpable water
of her eyes
cold against the brick urged her form
stretched to where her warmth is drawn

Only the flicker of candle
touches the other half of night
and the sigh he compels from her lips
is more enslaving to his heart
when she is his

The wet tails of her hair
A scented portrait
of ecstasy
more than their hearts could bare
and the mark he leaves with a devouring scratch
written there the narrative of
a consummate match

Nominated by fire I stand
bemused
by the shuddering flower I have
used
her supplicant whimper in pleasure streaming through my veins
a tidal animal I can not withstand
and in her slow moaning I am held
within soft embraces

So clothed in the animal
my passion I have eaten
and in the guise of her Angel
she has taken
lost and discovered
by our own redeeming
encounters us gliding through the gratitude
of loving

***********************************************

A curtain passes through the night
sanction is transformed
waking in my arms
to light a sleep filled with dreams reborn
hand in hand they walk the streets
and the smile which lays upon their lips
says it all

A curtain passes through the light
everything is reformed
Waking with her eyes alight
love sees all these dreams reborn
hand in hand we walk the streets
and the smile which settles upon our lips
says it all

( So sanctioned; and life; and love; and spirit; and “the when with all”
Suckled its purpose of experience
And knew the difference
Between light and darkness. )

( "suckled at her experience his felt the difference between one in light and both in darkness" ) by Classy Peach
