What is that noise from outside my window?
It keeps me from sleeping as I stare at my pillow.
And although the dawn of the day is coming
I can hear a faint sound of somebody humming.
A female soft voice getting louder and closer
To my dark bedroom window I dare not to open.
For my grandmother told me when noones around,
The soul of a woman haunts this old ground.
I remember this story from a long time ago,
Told by my gran and by her gran before.
And although a lot older
And wise to the world,
I still fear the tale of the ghost on the moor.
