I sit upon a ledge, staring at the stars
At the red ground below that disguises who we are.
At the distant pleading scream in the city under the sky
At the glamorous famous faces who wont even try

I sit upon a ledge, looking for a meaning.
I look for the peace that everyone is needing.
I look for the animals that have long died out.
I look at the humans and how they think aloud.

I will figure out why mankind is so cruel
Why mankind is so judging, hoping for a duel.
Why mankind has a brain that is greatly dimmed.
I sit upon a ledge, hoping for the wind.
