Lyrics I wrote back in high school about a man who deeply regrets what he did to his relationship.

I can't believe what I've done
Given you away, as if you were no one
Its a wonder how you managed to cope
Without any hope

We thought we'd be marrying
Now this guilt I'm carrying,
Weighing down to a ton
Our love sets with the sun

Its so unlike me, I know
To make an apology
But please, please listen to me

It seems like forever I had severed eyes
Once you said goodbye I cried
And forever it has haunted me
Forever I have thought of you
The pain that I have put you through
Forever I will regret
Will I ever forget

The sun mocks me
This eclipse is nothing more than hypocrisy
The ultraviolet seems so violent
Like the fist that made you silent
That was the old me
Can't you see that
That was the old me
So please don't leave

Forever I had severed eyes
Once you said goodbye I cried
And forever it has haunted me
Forever I have thought of you
The pain that I have put you through
Forever I will regret
Will I ever forget

This is what I deserve, escape while you can
Before I crave dessert, and take stride in my own plans

Forever I had severed eyes
Once you said goodbye I cried
Forever it has haunted me
Forever I had severed eyes
Once you said goodbye I cried
Forever I have thought of you
The pain that I have put you through
Forever I will regret
Oh no, I won't ever forget

I won't ever forget

Very deep and emotional. I especially love the beginning of the fifth paragraph. I'd love to hear it as a song.
