Mental Prison

Trapped in a mental prison,

I am like a prisoner destined for death row.

Drown myself in rum like a pirate on the high seas

A cranium torture chamber

I’m in a mental  asylum,

an electric chair

It’s all in your mind?

Falling to my death,

don’t leave me behind.

Suicide?

Mental imagery?

The thoughts I have,

the things I see.

Emotions overwhelm me

Is this imaginary?

Is it all about to begin again?

I can’t seem to open my eyes

Is this pretend?

Do I need to be ready to die?

I can’t tell the difference between real or fake.

I need another drink,

I need to escape.
