When someone you've known forever suddenly changes...

Your head on my leather

I feel your sweater

So close to your skin

I feel you breathin

light a fire

missing you

till it’s just embers

January, February

where are you

March, April, May

I wish your were next to me

Summer comes around

you roll into town

I am so happy,

You’re not the same

a different person, who’s to blame?

I want the old you back

not the way you act right now

it’s a bitter realization

everything I say is lost in translation

It’s like i’m speaking korean

Now you’re a foreigner

and I can’t make you mine

your passport to my heart

was lost from the start

it feel so empty inside

Your head on my chest

it doesn’t feel the same

like a rock, a paperweight,

who is to blame?

you just feel heavy

and I can’t breath,

you alien,

you need to leave

lost in translation

speaking korean

now you're foreign

a trip overseas can do that to you

Sir AK87

This poem was really meaningful. It would mean a lot if you read just one of my poems. Thank you for this experience.
