It's bleeding through like a marker
a rough, wet stone
dropping inside our bodies
leaving us all alone
Of course I took pity in them
leaving us out of the game
but what difference does it make now,
when truly we're all the same
Rain is ebbing gradually
sun seeps through the clouds
insignificant speeches drowning
pretentious fools are proud
Forget everything so suddenly
mark it down on your skin
it feels like it's that time again
and it always comes on a whim
Ambling down the dirt road
gazing up at the sky
from this beauty comes no emotion
just another longing to die
Some of them enjoyed this place
some of them wanted to stay
this soul wanted to leave here
why does it have to be this way?
The tattered belongings remain
he goes out that night alone
gets swept up with the others
Danse Macabre on his throne
We're destroying our own Mother
crumbling memoirs of home
it's the only thing, he reckons,
that shatters the unbloodied stone
