This was done in response to hiralariou's challenge. I was given the line "Caring for you like I did for no other." You'll find it if you read it, I didn't bold it or anything because I didn't want to talk anything from the poem. I still think this is a good poem of mine! One of the rare ones where I put in some rhymes to hopefully make it more "together". Comments please :)

I am

Looking for you

like no wanderer has looked;

For when traveller's frequently seek gold,

I alone desire to hold

You, my treasure,

Within my heart and soul.

I am

Fighting for you

like no soldier has fought

Since a soldier's cause is not his own.

But this passion of mine has brought

Ashes to flesh,

And rivers to bone.

I am

Loving to you

like no lover has loved.

A lover's love is not to be thrown

Into the air to land

On some gal's gullible ears,

But to be held hand-in-hand

And heart-in-heart:

As cherished as it is revered.

And I am

Caring for you

like I did for no other;

Only for you, I am all and I am nought.

And I am

Thinking of you

like I did of no other;

Smiling about you

like I did about no other;

Dreaming of you

Like I have never dreamed before.

For each pen stroke that I have brought

down, it was done solely for you.
