We stand there silent

no words leave our mouths

you finally say you're tired and leave to your house

Before you go, i ask if you're okay

you answer back 'everything will be better after today'

I feel tears well up as i catch the hidden meaning

it might be okay for you

but that doesn't mean it will be okay for me too

after today, i'll be on my own

in every class i will sit all alone

i'll stare at the empty chair next to me

and remember the girl who used to sit there

no one mentions you

no one would dare

no one meets my angry death stare

people may glance at the deserted chair

but no one will ever know know what happened to the girl who once sat there.
