Drunk

Returning home in the crisp dewy morning air.
The sun had barely risen, my body feels weak and tingly.
His smell – still lingering on my skin – brings back memories of the past night.

The feeling of him inside me, the taste of salt on his skin and the touch of his hands.
Everything is so very delicious about him even the feeling of his burning heat under my hands.

My blurry mind watches as longing heartstrings wrap around the colour of his eyes, the shape of his smile.
Missing the sound of his touch, the taste of his moans – my heart remembers his cold emerald gaze.

If only it would try and convince my reason that keeps telling me – he’s not the one for you.
