She lies on the bed,

Curled up in a ball,

Freezing,

But feeling the warmth

Of hot tears running down her cheeks

She wants to forget -

To move on

Quit obsessing

But she can't

It's just not possible

The memories stick to her like mud

The pain shoots through her like a needle

Suddenly she feels a gentle hand on her shoulder

She turns to look,

She sees eyes of compassion

Eyes of understanding

She feels her face being caressed

She hears words of comfort and encouragement

She sees a look of utter compassion

Then she understands

That anything is possible

Hope exists!

She is not alone.
