I was playing the piano, creating a new song, when this poem suddenly came to me.

Sometimes we imagine

That we are not gifted

We have no talent

We are snared

Like a fly

Into a spider's web

Deceived by humility

Believing in inadequacy

Hoping for mere mediocrity

The web is sticky

Like glue on all sides

We cannot find an escape

Until one day

We sit down

And try

Over and over we

Try and fail,

Try and succeed

Finally there is a light

A brilliant light,

A talented light

We are no longer flies

But beautiful birds

Graceful and free

We soar to the sky

And our dreams appear

One by one

Until the sky abounds

With creatures who realized

They could soar.
